Recently media outlets have been comparing Tyra Banks to Oprah, wondering if she is the next Oprah with her talk show and production company. Unlike Oprah fans, Tyra's fans aren't too happy with her, calling her a phony after a taping of the show last week left the audience waiting for two hours, while she joked back stage with her staff. Sources say what made it worse, is Tyra was right behind the curtain where everyone can hear her, and when she finally came out she didn't acknowledge the crowd or apologize, just jumped into her script as nothing happened. It was reported that the show was disorganized, and when Tyra led the audience outside to release black balloons in honor of black models, that they almost trampled two little girls and fell over the press. This is definitely not a page from Oprah's book! Maybe Tyra can give the entire audience a car to make up for her alleged phoniness and making them wait. Ha Ha

Fatimah Jester is calling her baby daddy and deadbeat broke looking boy, and suing him for $2K in child support. Jester told sources last week that Joc rides around in Bentley's, Mercedes, and Range Rovers but can spend a dime on his 2 year old son. Both Jester and Joc are due in court to face off on September 11th. In addition to family court, Joc must have not paid attention to others before him who attempted to take loaded weapons through airport security, so he also facing felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon. The incident occurred last December at Ohio's Cleveland Int'l Airport.

The Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) Michael Misick, and his estranged wife LisaRaye McCoy-Misick were involved in a violent confrontation at the Premier’s mansion on Wednesday night, according to reliable sources. The fight, which reportedly occurred in the presence of a number of government officials, including the Minister for Health and Education, Lillian Been-Boyce, resulted in both Misicks seeking emergency medical attention for bites. Each has filed a police report against the other. On Tuesday, Michael Misick had released a brief press statement, saying, “I am announcing that I am separated from LisaRaye McCoy-Misick.”

LisaRaye had returned to the TCI this week, reportedly to negotiate a divorce settlement but, according to our sources, this process had gone very badly from her standpoint. Misick is said to have refused to allow his wife to stay at the Premier’s mansion and she is believed to be staying at a local beach resort. On Wednesday night, for unknown reasons, LisaRaye decided to confront Misick at his mansion, which resulted in the violent altercation.

The Source Preps 20th Anniversary Issue

There was a time when The Source was seen as the Bible of rap. After series of changes, complaints, lawsuits, revamps and an end, the magazine looks to return to its old form. According to the publishers, this relaunch will take it back to its glory days.

"It's a very seminal period, an opportunity to both celebrate 20 years of content and the fact that The Source was a leader in chronicling the culture of Hip Hop," said L. Londell McMillan, the new co-owner of the mag.

"I'm on a mission to restore it to the community that gave birth to it and open the door to those that currently enjoy and influence that hip-hop culture," he added.

Expect changes, though. According to McMillan, the mag will see changes that will make it "multi-generational" adding sections that will revolve around business, travel, education and more.

The first mag for the relaunch is the 20th Anniversary issue, which will feature four icons of the culture, LL Cool J, Queen Latifah, Ice Cube, and Nas. Michael Eric Dyson and Cornel West are also said to be involved with the issue, being led in a discussion by Chuck D.

"We're just going to expand on what The Source has always done well," he noted.

"I think that what we're trying to do is evolve it as hip-hop has evolved and become an international force, to evolve it without losing its core essence that was the centerpiece of its earliest beginnings and greatness. But it has to evolve, just like Hip Hop has to evolve."

A source told Page Six that Lisraye was set to move back into the mansion on the island she once shared with her husband, Turks & Caicos Premier Michael Misick. But is it too late, since its was recently reported that he released a statement that he is committed to dissolving this marriage amicably, but believes it is a private matter as has no further comments. Rumors have circulated in the recent weeks that infedilty has been an issue of their marriage, not only with the allege rape case, but now with BET's Rocsi, who sources say is his new fling.

Sources say Kanye West company, KW Foods LLC is planning to open a line of the popular Fatburger food chain in Chicago. The first of ten restaurants will open next month in Orland Park with the next to open by January on 95th & Western in the Beverly neighborhood. The third location has been chose, but the lease is not finalized at this time.

Last year Jack Sutton of Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry filed a lawsuit in Miami Dade County against Lil Wayne, alleging that the rapper only made two payments on a diamond ring and a gold and diamond necklace. Sources say now eight months later, the two parties have agreed on a deal, though terms of the negotiation were not released to the media. At the time the suit was filed, reps for Lil Wayne stated the incident was an accounting error. In other Weezy news, as we previously reported the rumor of his eight year old daughter, Reginae, Weezy released a statement thanking those who were genuinely concerned about his daughter, and assuring that she was alive and healthy. Sources say the rumor was started via text messaging.

Sources say Papoose and Remy Ma are married. The couple were planning to wed prior to Remy's sentencing, but at the last minute the wedding was put on hold. When recently asked about his wedding plans, Papoose confirmed that he had already married his bride, but refused to share details of when, where, and how. It was previously reported that the wedding was to soften Remy's image for the judge, but Papoose states it didn't have anything to do with that. Remy is currently serving eight years in prison.

Drama continues to follow Rick Ross. A woman claims he is the father of her two year old son, and she is seeking a court ordered paternity test to receive child support. She claims Ross has not paid child support, and that she is hoping the test will support her case with hopes for Ross to not only take part in the childs life financially but also physically. Sources close to Ross state that he has paid child support, including medical bills. No statements have released from Ross at the time of press.

Yung Berg was due in court today to face charges stemming from a limo drivers complaint, against the rapper and his crew, were police found weapons and marijuana and Berg was arrested. The weapon charges were thrown out, due to they belonged to Berg's security team, and his lawyer told sources that the menacing charges may also be tossed, leaving him to face marijuana charges. Berg is due back in court in December.

On August 15, 2008, a multimillion dollar assault and battery lawsuit was filed in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York by DJ Vlad (Vlad Lyubovny) against platinum recording artist Rick Ross (“William Leonard Roberts II”) stemming from an incident that took place on August 10, 2008 at the Ozone Awards in Houston, Texas. In the complaint, it is alleged that Rick Ross orchestrated a brutal attack upon DJ Vlad carried out by his accomplices in retribution for media coverage of Rick Ross’ prior life as a correctional officer.

The injuries alleged to have been sustained as a result of the assault include, 7 stitches below the eye, 3 fractures to the face, a corneal abrasion and possible permanent nerve damage. The complaint seeks $ 2,000,000 in compensatory damages and $2,000,000 in punitive damages.
